Neil Gaiman’s SNOW, GLASS, APPLES Wins 2020 Eisner Award
Neil Gaiman’s SNOW, GLASS, APPLES, the short story originally written in 1994, adapted and illustrated into a graphic novel for Dark Horse Comics by Colleen, has won the 2020 Eisner Award for Best Adaptation from Another Medium. From Colleen’s Patreon Page: My most sincere and humble thanks to Neil Gaiman who kindly trusts me with his work; our editor Daniel Chabon; our agent Merilee Heifetz; Dark Horse Comics; my assistant Val Trullinger; my long-suffering family who just sort of listened to me grunt and threw meat under the door while I was working; and all the kind people who voted for us because amazing books were nominated and I am…

Snow Glass Apples Gets Second Printing
I’m happy to report that Snow, Glass, Apples by Neil Gaiman with art by me is back to press the first week on sale. Shaun Cassidy Tour Poster
As a kid, I had his poster on my wall, and dreamed of meeting him someday. I wrote and drew Hardy Boys fanfic. My first writing award was for one my of mysteries! And now, all these years later, I got to do the illustration and product design for Shaun Cassidy’s tour, which has been selling out each show! Amazing! You never know where a life in comics will take you! Special thanks to Allan Harvey who did the final logo designs, and to Rantz Hoseley who helped with the lettering and technical issues. Couldn’t have done it without you! So much fun to see my art on Shaun Cassidy…

Colleen Doran for Rescue Time
In this interview I talk about how I used the app RESCUE TIME to retrain myself to adapt to a new lifestyle with chronic illness and re-acclimate myself to full time work habits. This is not a paid endorsement. I am going on my 6th month of full-time work hours, and for the last 2 months, have been able to enjoy over 200 hours of monthly drawing time, for a full time work tally of over 250 hours per month. I also use the FREEDOM app to block websites and set up specific times for websurfing and social media. But RESCUE TIME coordinates and tracks all my productive hours, and…

Neil Gaiman’s SNOW GLASS APPLES
I’m very happy to announce I am adapting Neil Gaiman’s short story SNOW GLASS APPLES into a graphic novel. This includes all the drawing and color. The drawings are by hand and the color is digital. I have drawn the entire book with the Irish Arts and Crafts artist Harry Clarke in mind. It is a highly decorative, detailed style and I hope you like it. Information about the release date and more is available in this article from PASTE magazine.
