One of my favorite covers from A Distant Soil. Watercolor. I don’t get much opportunity to paint. Wish I had more time for it, but I usually do black and white comic art that is colored by professionals. My next project will be colored by Jose Villarubia! That will be gorgeous!

This is what I think of when I consider Thranduil, from The Hobbit. But this is not an official Tolkien piece. I call it “Elf King”. This colored version of an earlier sketch is a combination of hand painted work and digital composited in Photoshop.
