I think this will be the last page I will post from the unpublished issue of The Book of Lost Souls. This series was published by Marvel Comics’ Icon line, and the first six issues are available in a graphic novel collection. We planned to go forward with the series, but JMS had so many tempting offers elsewhere he didn’t have time to continue. It was great working with him, and I really enjoyed this project.
Thanks for stopping by to have a look.

Come back soon for a look at my pencil art from Wonder Woman projects.

The gentleman in this page reminds me of Jareth the Goblin king, as played by Bowie… if this wasnt a source of inspiration I’d be shocked! ^_~
LOL! Absolutely! And I even had the same hairdo once upon a time! I loved the idea of taking that 1980′s glam look and giving it to a very prickly, creepy goth villain.
I especially like the clothing style I saw in a lot of fantasy movies back then: a sort of frayed edge on the lines of the clothes. A tattered look to cloaks and blouses without seeming dirty or old. I’ve used that on a lot of my costumes.
Now most fantasy/SF film costumes have a hard edged role playing game look, which is cool. But I really like this sort of look, too.
