A panel from a webcomic entitled “Super Idol”. It’s about ten years old. If memory serves, it’s my first webcomics work.

Written by Warren Ellis, author of Transmetropolitan, it is available to read for free online at Artbomb.net.

All of my work for this webcomic was done by hand. I knew so little of computer graphics then I had to rely on others to scan and archive work for me. Unfortunately, the archives were made at very low resolutions. Thinking I had a computer archive for future use, I sold the original art.

Because the scans are such poor quality, we’ve been unable to print the story in book form.

Each panel of this story is a separate mixed media painting. I say, my painting has come along somewhat in the last decade.

“Super Idol” is one of several projects I have done with Warren Ellis. Currently, I am trying to squeeze in the time to complete a graphic novel called Stealth Tribes.

Warren is one of my favorite writers. He is funny and interesting. A roller coaster fellow. With spikes.
